- 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Consultations are by appointment only.
Please try to consult the same Doctor each time for the same illness. Our Receptionists will try to give you an appointment with the Doctor of your choice. We will offer you an appointment with another Doctor if they are not available.
If you think you have an urgent problem which cannot wait until the next available routine appointment, then you will be offered a telephone consultation or an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner.
We are pleased to be able to offer routine appointments at the following times for patients who find it difficult to get to the surgery during our normal consulting hours.
Monday 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Long Melford
Friday 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. at Long Melford
The standard allotted time for a consultation is 10 minutes and while it is very difficult for the doctors to strictly adhere to this, it does ensure that the maximum possible number of appointments are made available each day.
Consultations are normally intended to review a single medical matter. If you feel that you may need more time with the doctor, please discuss this with the receptionist when initially making your appointment.
Better control of bookings will help reduce any additional unplanned time required by patients during their consultations, which in turn will hopefully mean less time spent waiting for everyone else.
Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants
We have Nurses working at Long Melford and at Lavenham and together with our Health Care Assistants we offer a wide range of services including new patient checks, travel advice and asthma, diabetes, blood pressure and heart disease monitoring.
If you need medical advice your details will be taken and our Duty Team will phone you back later. If the matter is urgent, please advice us and it will be dealt with straight away.
